A first in Malta offering a Diploma in Professional Dance.
This new dimension to the dance scene in Malta will make a dancing career a reality for Maltese dance students. A two year professional dance course has been devised to offer talented dance students the possibility to train on a professional level locally. These dancers will be given the option to work on a full time basis in the Malta Youth Ballet Dance Company, upon completion of the course.
The course includes daily classes in classical ballet, repertoire, female/male virtuosity, pas de deux, stretching, dance improvisation, modern jazz dance and contemporary dance. It will also include classes in Dance Studies and Choreography. During the programme students will also be entered for dance competitions overseas, as well as Dance Performances and given contacts with companies abroad should they wish to audition for job opportunities in such companies.
