The Euroguidance Centre in Malta in collaboration with the Malta Career Guidance Association (MCGA) organised the Conference ‘Professionalising Career Guidance In Malta’. This was held on Friday, 12th October at the Dolmen Hotel, St Paul’s Bay.
Dr Mary McMahon, Honorary Senior Lecturer in the School of Education at The University of Queensland and Vice-President of the Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) addressed the Conference. Her keynote speech was entitled ‘Professionalising Career Guidance: The Australian Experience. A Journey, Not a Destination’. Workshops followed. During the workshops the research and recommendations on professionalisation were outlined by MCGA committee members.
The target audience for the Conference included heads of organisations with a career guidance remit, career guidance practitioners, guidance teachers, employment advisors and other stakeholders in the field of career guidance
