OECD Live Streamed Event – How to educate the whole person for an interconnected world
About this event
Our world is more interconnected than it has ever been. The pandemic showed us that the ties between nations are far deeper than many assumed – and we know now that what happens in one country can affect all countries.
How do we prepare students for such a world? How can we support them in understanding global issues? How can we help them appreciate and accommodate the perspectives of others, both at home and abroad?
Join us to watch the livestream of the launch of the OECD’s latest report, Big picture thinking: How to educate the whole person for an interconnected world. The report looks at case studies of global competence education, which refers to students’ ability to examine issues of local and global significance and take action for collective well-being.
The report will be launched on 19 February at the Qudwa-PISA Global Competence Forum 2022 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This day-long event will bring together teachers, international policy experts, and decision-makers to discuss the task of preparing students to live in an interconnected world.
